Got questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this screen keep my cat inside?

Do not rely on this insect screen to contain an animal. Mesh and self-adhesive edging are not an animal restraint. Use an independently secured window guard or restraint designed for that purpose.

Can this screen prevent a fall?

No. This product is not fall protection for pets or children. Keep unsafe window openings secured with a suitable independent guard or restraint.

What sizes and colours are available?

Check the available sizes and colours in the product options above. Choose the kit that covers your measured fitting area and review the selected option before adding it to your basket.

Where should I measure?

Measure the flat frame surface where the edging will attach, including the full width and height of the fitting area. Ask our team if handles, hinges or the frame shape may affect the fit.

Does a stronger mesh make the fixing secure against a pet?

No. Mesh and fixing performance are different. Adhesive attachment depends on the surface and conditions and must not be relied on to withstand an animal pushing, jumping or climbing.

How should I check the screen?

Inspect the mesh, edging and attachment for damage or loose areas. Follow the supplied fitting instructions and replace damaged parts before using it for insect screening.

Can I request help choosing a size?

Yes. Send your measurements, fitting position and preferred colour through our pet mesh quote page. Make clear if you also need an independent animal restraint or window guard.

Choose mesh for insect screening

This kit is an insect screen for a window in a home with pets. Review the available product options and choose a kit that covers your fitting area before ordering.

Important: insect mesh and its self-adhesive fitting are not animal restraint, a security barrier or fall protection. Do not rely on this screen to stop a cat or child leaving an open window. Use a suitable, independently secured window restraint or guard where containment is needed.

Measure the fitting surface

  1. Identify the flat surface where the screen edging will attach.
  2. Measure the full width and height of that fitting area, with the units clearly marked.
  3. Check clearance around handles, hinges and the opening window.
  4. Select a kit that covers the required area. Ask our team if the frame or fitting position is uncertain.

Check the frame and fixing

The kit uses self-adhesive edging. Check that the surface and available fitting space are suitable before ordering, and follow the supplied fitting instructions. Adhesive performance depends on the surface, preparation and conditions; do not assume mesh strength makes the fixing secure against a pet pushing or climbing.

Use and inspect the screen

Check the mesh, edging and attachment regularly for damage or loose areas. Keep pets away from an unsecured window opening during fitting, cleaning and removal. Replace damaged components before using the screen for insect screening.

Ask about your window

Send the width, height, frame details and preferred colour through our pet mesh quote page if you need help with sizing. Describe any pet-containment requirement separately so you can choose an appropriate restraint system.
